Sometimes things just don’t go as planned

My 4 year old son stayed over at his grandparents (my parents) house last night, my dad dropped him off this morning and after about 1/2 hour of civil conversation we hit a brick wall in which he proclaimed tearfully that “it’s just not fair” (in response to me telling him no).  Inside I was giggling at his statement, there is a lot of truth to what he was saying, sometime life doesn’t do what you expect.  This is sort of what happened on Tuesday when I was doing a photo shoot of a beautiful little 7 month year old.  Things just didn’t go as planned, he was so upset and nothing was right in his little world.  Just when I was about to say to his mum perhaps not today I should come another day, he started to settle and Mum and I managed to get some really lovely shots of him.

On a different note, last night I went out to a SALA (South Australia Living Artist) exhibition opening of friends.  Her first ever exhibition.  She was very nervous (while understandable) she need not have been her work was worthy of an exhibition – well done Sue Baldwin.  Any interested person can view her a sample of her work on http://www.salafestival.com/details.php?id=293, or else go to her exhibition at Purple Cockatoo Gallery Gifts 316 Magill Road, Kensington Park 5068.  The exhibition runs from 7th August – 31 August 2009.

About Vulnerability of the heart

I am a wife, a mother, and a treasured child of God. My Christian faith is my source of strength. I’ve fallen into the depths of despair and been carried out of it in the loving arms of God. By His grace I have been healed. God has taken me on an incredible journey. I have experienced the painful things of this world and discovered in them God’s love and faithfulness. I believe in a merciful God who has never left me. He is forever faithful.
